Smart Socket

This smart socket design uses a microcontroller (such as the ESP32) to control its functions, manage communication protocols like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and enable remote control through mobile apps. It features a relay for safely switching connected devices on and off, as well as a power supply circuit that converts AC power to the required DC voltage for the microcontroller and other components. The design also integrates energy monitoring ICs to track power consumption and provide real-time feedback to users. Overcurrent protection is included to safeguard both the socket and connected devices by disconnecting the circuit in the event of excessive current.

Additionally, communication interfaces like UART or SPI ensure accurate data transmission between the microcontroller and energy monitoring IC. This design has been tailored for industries such as home automation, where it can be used to control household appliances and improve energy management, and energy monitoring, where it enables users to track and optimize power usage. Its versatility makes it an ideal solution for integrating into smart home systems and providing convenient, safe, and efficient control over everyday electrical devices.
